Hyatt Place Ocean City / Oceanfront

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in late November. We had the pleasure of getting room 706 which is on the top floor, right corner when facing the ocean. This allows for a great view of the beach, including the sunrise 🌅 AND a view of the sunset 🌇. 🏨The room was clean, with a nice living space to relax and play some Scrabble 🔠 or have a sip of wine🍷. The king size bed 🛌was comfortable, but the mattress was a little soft. The hotel location is right on the boardwalk allowing for easy access to shops 🏪 and restaurants 🍽 (though finding what's open in late November was a scavenger hunt 🔍). I saw some reviews that were disappointed a microwave wasn't in the room so they can chomp away on popcorn 🍿 while watching a movie. One person even went so far as to go out to Walmart and purchase one for their room! 😲 Well, I'm here to tell you if you just talk to whoever is at the front desk, they'll inform you that you can request a microwave be brought to your room. That's what we did, and when I tried to give a tip 💰 for lugging that thing up seven floors, I was surprisingly told to keep it and pay it forward. ➡ Great stay. Great service. I highly recommend. 😁

Just stayed here over the weekend and we had a great stay. I am quite particular about the hotels I stay in, I like to stay in nice clean hotels and the Hyatt didn't disappoint. The location is great, steps away from the beach, 2 pools, and right on the boardwalk. Rooms were large (we booked a suite), clean, and balconies large and great views. The free breakfast was a plus also and there were lots of choices. There was ample parking for us also, and we stayed on the weekend. Walkable to a lot of nice restaurants and night spots. I can't wait to visit again next year.

This place was alright. Breakfast was good in the mornings and there was a decent variety. In addition the view on the ocean was great. There were two main complaints I had while staying there. That being the elevator, and the parking. The Elevator seemed slow, and the fact there was just the 2 elevators for the whole building (no service elevator) means in the morning things get congested between staff going to clean rooms, and all the guests going down for breakfast for example. It can lead to the elevators seeming to take forever. Now again - There's no easy way to fix that, it's just how it is. The other is on the parking. Primarily, the building sits up off the ground from the 1st floor, with the majority of the space being used for a parking garage underneath the building, basically, but still at ground level. However, its a bit cramped for parking, and the only other parking is a lot down the street from the building that the hotel owns. Ideally, it would be nice if the hotel next door, and Hyatt Place were to swap lots as then they'd be equal distance from their hotels, respectively, however yeah not gonna happen. Other than that, location wise in comparison to the boardwalk, this hotel sits midway on the lineup of hotels to the major section of the boardwalk. There is a passenger trolley pulled by a Jeep if you'd rather pay the fare and ride down towards the restaurants and shops on the boardwalk, otherwise its about a mile walk down towards the main end. (Almost 2 miles down and back to the hotel). Overall a nice hotel. Better than some in Ocean City, but I'd say good for the price overall.
